Marta
Kochanek

Beginning her career in production, Marta’s innate talent was recognised and nourished during her time spent working with world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. A life-changing opportunity that gave voice to Marta’s creative spirit, this experience was a powerful influence in her journey to becoming a respected photographer in her own right.

In both her commercial and fine art photography projects, Marta’s distinctive, cinematic style courses through her work. Her tenacious drive to become an established commercial photographer has fuelled Marta’s creativity, developing an atmospheric portfolio with a wide range of subject matter. Marta’s images have garnered extensive recognition from the creative industry, and have been awarded at the highest level. A particular highlight for us is the captivating portrait study of Tim Andrews – a lawyer who retired after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2008.

A beautifully captured and emotive series, the images were born from Andrews’ charity project ‘Over the Hill’, which saw him sit as the subject for over 450 highly respected and influential photographers, turning his diagnosis into a powerful and personal artistic statement. All of the photographs in Tim’s project serve to raise awareness of this life-changing disease, but Marta’s intuitive talent and warm, engaging personality have seen their collaboration result in a uniquely powerful and moving series of images.
